This Saturday, French president François Hollande will be taking part in a National Day of Remembrance of the Slave Trade. The commemoration was established in 2006 to mark 150 years since abolition. It's an opportunity not only to remember the past, but to highlight the plight of contemporary victims of human trafficking and exploitation.
