It's considered to be one of the greatest rock songs ever written.

Now Bob Dylan's four-page original manuscript for 'Like a Rolling Stone' is expected to fetch up to 2 million US dollars when it's put up for auction in June.

The 1965 anthem which asks 'how does it feel, to be on your own, with no direction home' was a breakthrough for Dylan.

Sotheby's Richard Austin explains its significance.

SOUNDBITE, Richard Austin, Sotheby's, saying (English):

"You can see when you go through the manuscript itself it's written in pencil but he's made corrections, he's crossed words out, he substituted other words. A lot of the iconic - the chorus that we all know, how does it feel, he tries out different rhymes for that. You see raw deal, take the wheel, so he's still trying to work out exactly how the song will become in its final version."

Among the other items in the auction are this rare poster advertising an Elvis concert in Oregon in the 1950s.
