Smoke and shouting and chaos in Syria's second city Aleppo.

A monitoring group says this video was taken Thursday just after government warplanes attacked a busy market in a rebel-controlled district.

Activists in the area say the death toll was as high as 40 and that dozens were also wounded.

It's one of several videos posted online on Friday showing the conflict in Syria and which Reuters can't independently verify.

The violence follows Monday's announcement that President Bashar al-Assad will seek a third term in a June election.

On Friday, state TV said two car bombs in the central province of Hama killed 18 and wounded at least 50 more.
