Police fired water cannons to disperse hundreds of anti-nuclear protesters during an occupation of a main boulevard in Taipei on Monday. However, female protesters will no longer have to worry about their makeup running during acts of civil disobedience.
Famous makeup blogger Poppy posted her top 10 favorite waterproof cosmetics, and garnered over 20 millions views since early yesterday morning in the process. And not a moment too soon either, as police in Taiwan once again deployed water cannons against protesters hours later. Poppy explained that she has been going to various rallies and she wrote about waterproof cosmetics so her readers won't have runny mascara face while being oppressed by "the man".
Poppy's top 10 list includes all kinds of cosmetics, and the cheapest item is only a buck fifty. Other than make-up, she cautioned female protesters to be sure to wear sunscreen and lip-gloss whilst fightin' the power. Especially this brand of lip-gloss so that they will stand-out when wearing the signature black t-shirt in the protest.
