Obama visits ancient Korean palace in Seoul

U.S. President Barack Obama toured a South Korean palace in Seoul on Friday (April 25) to experience Korea's traditional culture during his visit to the country.
His visit came amid national grief over the deadly ferry accident that has left nearly 300 people dead or missing, most of them teenagers from a same school.
After visiting the War Memorial of Korea in downtown Seoul and offering flowers, Obama had a brief cultural experience at the Gyeongbok Palace, the main palace of the Joseon Dynasty (1392-1910).
Obama brought nine ancient Korean seals with him, returning the national treasures shipped out of Korea during the 1950-53 Korean War, to South Korea.
Obama is set to meet South Korean President Park Geun-hye later on Friday to discuss several bilateral and regional issues with North Korean nuclear threats high on top of the agendas, which will be followed by a joint news conference.
