Revolver Rani Movie Review | More Of 'Rani' Than 'Revolver'!
Kangana Ranaut's much anticipated sex tussle, Revolver Rani has finally shot its bullet on the 25th of April, 2014. Co-starring Vir Das in the leads, while this film was already ruling the buzz owing to Kangana's terrific avatar like one of those Gabbar scenes, but what do you think, has director Sai Kabir really managed to put up a good 2hr show with an appealing execution of Guns and roses? And how about the performances? Has Kangana lived up to the expectations? Well, then here's a quick film review that shall now resolve your dilemmas and give you a reason to watch or not watch the film!
Firstly, a quick brush up through the film's plot! Revolver Rani narrates a story of a political leader Alka Singh who on one side fights bravery like a dare devil and on the other side, engages herself in some brutal love with her toy boy Rohan However, amidst these love Vs politics affair, Alka is also trying to pull down her opponent Udaybhan Singh in order to win the elections. But no sooner does her controversial love takes over this political reign, severe issues dig its place and what happens next is what the entire film is all about.
Now as per the plot, the story suits well onto the paper with its share of drama, shoots, dhisum-dhishum, love and sex Vs Politics. But when it comes to executing on big screen, well, this Revolver Rani's trigger dumps far weaker than expected! A slow screen play with a lack of intensity and snoring songs almost pushes this film towards its darker side but no, no, no...don't dishearten guys! We still have Kangana to save us from misery! From her rebellious avatar to her high octane performance, Kangana has done it all to play the perfect USP to this not-so appealing film! In fact, even Vir Das, Piyush Mishra and Zakir Hussain come as a great support to our Rani darling in the film but others like Kumud Mishra, Pankaj Saraswat and Zeishan Quadri were highly wasted.
To sum it up, Revolver Rani definitely has an electrifying plot but with more of Rani than its enthralling Revolver!
