University of Oregon snowball fight goes balls out

The University of Oregon Police Department is now investigating a snowball fight that occurred last Friday on campus after a video posted to YouTube went viral showing students hurling snowballs at cars and drivers passing through campus.
The authorities said it is looking into an incident where "a passing vehicle was the target of snowballs thrown by young people in an area on the UO campus."
"Police hope to determine the identities of those who were throwing snowballs, whether they are UO students and whether their actions constitute a criminal act," UO Dean of Students Paul Shang said in a statement Saturday.
The snowball fight was captured on video and shows students chucking snowballs at cars as they pass through university campus. At the beginning of the video, one SUV is nailed with a barrage of snowballs, but at least the driver gets a free dance from one of the students as a consolation prize.
Another unlucky older driver actually tried to get out of his car, bad idea, and confront the students. As the driver opens the door, some moron dumps a tub of snow on him. Then, as he tries to talk to some of the young people in the crowd, he continues to get bombarded with snowballs.
"The University of Oregon takes the conduct of its students seriously. Consequences are clear for those whose actions reflect poorly upon the university or violate its standards for student behavior," Shang also said in Saturday's statement. "However, until the facts of the snowball-throwing incident are sorted out, it would be premature to speculate about any potential outcomes in this case."
