South Korean PM visits submerged ferry

Amid powerful winds, pelting rain and strong waves South Korea's president viewed the stricken ferry, submerged off the coast of Jeju Island.
At least nine people are confirmed to have died and dozens have been injured since this ferry sank on Wednesday.
Around 290 people are still missing, many of them teenagers, who were on a school trip.
Park Geun-hye met distressed parents, telling them that every minute and every second was critical, and urging rescuers to hurry.
(SOUNDBITE) (Korean) SOUTH KOREAN PRESIDENT PARK GEUN-HYE SAYING:
"This wasn't supposed to happen, but it happened. I will order to make a cursory investigation and find out the cause (of the sinking) so that we can severely punish those in responsibility."
It is not yet clear what caused the ship to list at a severe angle and flip over.
