On Jan. 5, a woman was caught kissing Taiwanese-Brazilian teenager Iruan Ergui Wu, also know by his Chinese name Wu Yi-hua(吳憶樺), the kid who became famous for being at the center of a custody battle between his Taiwanese uncle and Brazilian grandmother.

Cheng Yi-chen(鄭亦真), who works for CTi Television Inc. went to Brazil to interview Wu last year. She then stayed in Brazil until she came back to Taiwan with Wu on Jan. 3.

Cheng and Wu was seen kissing and hugging for 20 seconds at an American cuisine restaurant in Ximending.

Wu's translator said the kissing is simply a "normal" greeting between friends in Brazil and there is no special relationship between Wu and Cheng.

A spokesperson for CTi Television Inc. said the company would not get involved into such "private behavior" and refuses to answer further questions.
