For a long time comic fans have been begging for a live action "Justice League of America" movie and a large part of that may be to erase the horrendously bad memory of the 1997 TV series CBS attempted to air. Now remember pilots are made for a reason...they are test cases and this one didn't take too long to fail miserably. First, due to rights issues Superman, Batman and Wonder Woman were not allowed to be used and then it got worse when audiences saw the horribly conceived version of The Flash, Green Lantern and Martian Manhunter that were to be included. The pilot couldn't figure out if it is was a comedy, a documentary, a drama or a satire and the comic community took all of 30 seconds to write this one off and rightfully so.
