Hello everyone! In this lesson, Justin will cover an English grammar lesson around the simple present verb tense. Seeing how verb tenses are very present in the English language, we thought it would be relevant to have a class surrounding it so you can improve oral, listening and writing comprehension!

English lesson - Regular Simple Present Verb Tense
Verb tenses in English can be either very easy or very difficult for you depending what is your first language. For example, Mandarin doesn't have verb tenses so it will be hard, but French has tenses that are at least three times more complicated so they will find this is easy. In any case, this class will cover Simple Present and the rules below apply to 99% of all the verbs. So that's good news; after this lesson, you will know Simple Present almost perfectly!
singular plural
first person I eat we eat
second person you eat you eat
third person he, she, it eats they eat
singular plural
GO
1st per I go we go
2nd per you go you go
3rd per he, she, it goes they go

As you'll notice, most of the tenses are identical to the infinitive. The only difference is when it's a third person singular. When it is, you add an "s". In some cases (like go), the resulting sound doesn't work in English, so we also add an "e" to make "goes".
This is it for simple present! Now, write in the comment section below how to write the tense for the verb "to teach".
