Washington DC Relisha Rudd missing girl update: Police find Kahlil Tatum dead in Kenilworth Park

The search for the missing Washington D.C. 8-year-old girl, Relisha Rudd, took a turn when police found the dead body of suspected abductor, Kahlil Tatum, in Kenilworth Aquatic Gardens on Monday.
"It appears the person we found here today was, in fact, Mr. Tatum, and it does still appear at this point that this was a suicide," said Washington Police Chief Cathy Lanier at the park. "We were very focused on finding Relisha and that's what we came here for."
Tatum was seen purchasing large trash bags the day after Relisha went missing and was spotted in the 700-acre Kenilworth Aquatic Gardens, a block away from his home. Police have been combing the area for clues for the last five days.
Tatum was placed on the FBI's most wanted list as a murder suspect after his wife was shot in a Maryland motel room. Relisha was often in the company of Tatum who worked as a janitor at a homeless shelter. She was last seen with him on March 1.
The park remains closed as hundreds of people continue the search for Relisha Rudd.
