Afghan voters undeterred despite violence

The Afghan National Army is busier than usual these days, ensuring security is tight ahead of the April 5 polls.
They've stepped up their watch on the outskirts of Kabul and other cities to keep the Taliban at bay.
(SOUNDBITE) (Dari) AFGHAN ARMY SOLDIER, FAIZUL RAHMAN, SAYING:
"We have launched patrols around the capital ahead of upcoming election. We are here to make sure that the enemy cannot disrupt the election therefore we have set up check points and regular patrols."
Insurgents who have vowed to derail the polls.
Both Afghans and foreigners have lost their lives in series of brutal attacks.
But voters seem undeterred and are eager to have their say in who will be the next leader.

"People in general are worried about the security situation but the upcoming election is a positive move towards changing our destiny, I hope everyone will participate in the election."
