Search for Malaysian jet grows, but poor weather again forecast

Crew on board this Royal New Zealand Airforce P3 Orion have spotted several objects that might be linked to the missing Malaysia Airlines jet.

After analysing satellite data, Malaysian officials believe the jet flew into the water somewhere here in the southern Indian Ocean.

Flight MH370 disappeared three weeks ago but so far no trace of it has been found.

(SOUNDBITE) (English) ROYAL NEW ZEALAND AIR FORCE (RNZAF) P3 ORION TACTICAL COORDINATOR FLIGHT LIEUTENANT STEPHEN GRAHAM:

"We found lots of small things which are reasonably typical flotsam that you might see in any ocean. We had three larger objects that we are hopeful about. We've gathered as much as we could about those and we'll send that back to AMSA."

It's a long and tedious job in difficult conditions.
