Atul Agnihotri's much anticipated film O Teri has finally hit the screens on 28th of March, 2014. Starring young brigades like Pulkit Samrat and Bilal Amrohi, while this political satire was already in news for its share of Salman hype, here's a final breather that now exposes what the film has ultimately offered.
Firstly, a quick brush up through the film's plot. O Teri narrates a story of two amateur T.V journalists, who in order to save their jobs are on the hunt for some exclusive scoops or scandal. One day, they find a dead body of a police commissioner, which connects them with some top politicians. However, things are not as easy as they appear to be and thus, what happens next is the film is all about.
Now as per the plot, the film essays a decent narration but one wouldn't hesitate to relate this film to the cult classic, Jaane Bhi Do Yaaro! Yes! The film has picked up most of its sequences from this Hit classic. Going by the screenplay, a few scenes and Salman's songs along with Lulia's high shall keep you engaged but other than that, there is nothing else that aligns any emotion in the film.
Moving on to performances, while Pulkit offers his usual treat with no newness, Bilal tries hard to keep up some high spirits. And other actors like Anupam Kher, Murli Sharma, Manoj Pahwa, Mandira Bedi, Himani Shivpuri are highly wasted in the film.
To sum it up, O Teri is definitely not a weekend masala! Neither does it have any interesting incidents, nor do we get to see much of humor, excitement, or any of those sorts.
