Dystopian thriller "Divergent" dominated this weekend's box office charts, bringing in $56 million in U.S. and Canadian ticket sales.

It's about a society that is divided by personality traits.

The movie reportedly cost some $85 million to produce.

Meanwhile, the family comedy "Muppets Most Wanted," a sequel to the 2011 "Muppets" movie came in second, according to studio estimates, with $16.5 million.

It stars Ricky Gervais, Tina Fey and Ty Burrell.

And the movie has received positive reviews.

Chicago Sun-Times wrote, "the pacing is spot-on, and Fey's Russian guard and Ty Burrell's Interpol agent are wonderful human additions to this comedic romp."

And third at box office was the animated movie "Mr. Peabody & Sherman," which nabbed $11.7 million.
