Boat sinking: 13 Malaysia army personnel after boat sinks

Thirteen army personnel are missing after the boat they were traveling sank in waters off of Klebang Besar, Malaysia on Saturday night (December 7), according to The Star Online. It is believed the group was engaged in a training exercise since 9:00 p.m. on Saturday.

Several fire engines and diving units were deployed on Sunday at around 5:00 p.m. to look for the missing people. An emergency response booth was also set up at the beach, and an ambulance has been placed on standby. The Star Online reported that members of the media were asked to leave, while an unidentified uniformed personnel also insisted that a reporter delete a picture of the scene from her laptop.

The army and police has not released any official information. The search and rescue operation is continuing.
