A 17-year-old boy was killed in Houston, Texas after he was caught inside of a 16-year-old girl's bedroom on Thursday night by the girl's father. However, he wasn't an intruder, but a friend whom the girl had let in.

According to KHOU 11 News, the teenaged girl's little brother went into her room to say goodnight to her, when he noticed a pair of feet sticking out from beneath the bed. He went to alert his father, who went to investigate. An argument ensued between the father and the unidentified teenaged boy in his daughter's room when she said she did not know who the teen was. According to the report, at one point the boy dropped his arms as if to grab something, and that was when the father opened fire, killing the teenager.

However, when police arrived following a 911 call at around 2:30 a.m., they discovered the teenaged boy was unarmed. The daughter confessed to knowing the slain teen after being interviewed by police, admitting that she had let him into the house.

The 55-year-old father complained of possible panic attacks after the shooting and was taken to a hospital nearby the family's home on the 22300 block of Bridgestone Ridge.
