With grief on their faces, families of missing passengers from Malaysian Airlines Flight MH370 console one another in agony.
But there could be a glimmer of hope.
Anxious families watch as officials announce that they now believe the plane was flown west after someone on board turned off its communications and tracking systems.

"Previously we had been begging for information, and now that we are getting more information that is valid, I feel there is brighter hope in finding the plane, as well as the passengers of that plane."
One official helping families staying at a hotel says he is optimistic about the search efforts.
