ENCORE! - Randy Weston: Six decades in jazz

He's been described as one of the world's great visionary pianists and composers. Pioneering American jazz musician Randy Weston speaks to Jade Barker about his vast and varied musical career. After more than six decades in the business and at the ripe age of 87, he's still touring the world. He tells Jade about his musical upbringing, how music is a spiritual way of communicating and how he’ll keep playing until he no longer can.
Also on the show, we find out how France is supporting its budding musicians. It’s one of the few countries in the world to publicly fund its national jazz orchestra.
Finally, we meet the man who is proving great things can come in small packages, even musically. We give you a behind-the-scenes peak of an exhibition of toy pianos.
