Ernest Kevin Anderson was born to Ernest Wright and the late Christina Anderson Jones on July 16, 1966. God called him from labor to reward on Wednesday, February 26, 2014. Ernest was raised in South Philadelphia and was the eldest of five children. As a youth, he was known for his love of break dancing which earned him the nickname Tron. Tron was a regular dancer on the show Dancing on Air from 1981 to 1983. Fun-loving, charming and a great sense of humor, he knew how to have a good time.
Ernest was educated in the Philadelphia Public School system and later joined the Army Reserves. Following his stint in the Army he decided to pursue his passion in screen writing and began his studies at The University of the Arts to perfect his craft. Garnishing a Bachelors of Science degree only increased his skill, drive and passion to further pursue his talent. His one of a kind writing skills separated Ernest from his contemporarys and established him as a true talent with great vision.
As a writer, Ernest collaborated and contributed his premier writing style to such blockbuster Films and Television projects such as The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air, Hitch, Men in Black, Independence Day, & Bad Boys. One of Ernests biggest accomplishments was in 1993 when he became one of several African Americans inducted as a member of the Writers Guild of America (WGA). As an accomplished Writer, Director and Producer with such film projects as the urban classic State Property, School Of Hard Knocks, Limo, Snipes, Tragedy to Triumph, Lex Street Massacre and What We Do; Ernest gained an unprecedented amount of respect and long-lasting professional relationships which spoke to his ultimate talent.
Anyone that knew Ernest knew he loved his children dearly and enjoyed spending quality time with them. Sunday was an official family day that consisted of Road trips, movies, fun, and laughter.
Ernest is survived by his Spouse: Stephania , 8 children: Cyle Green , Cheyonna, Kayla, Kylaia, Ernest Jr., Niyah, Sasha and Amir Anderson; In-laws: Jeff & Barbara Jones; two grandchildren: Sage and Jordyn; Father: Ernest Wright; Four siblings: Lamont, Evelyn , Eddie and Christina; Uncles: William, Donald, Stephen and Aunt ILink; Nieces and Nephews: Nickia, Maurice, Jahmar, Brandon, Breyahna, Dominique and Donte; Dear friends: Lenny, Andre, Sam, Adrienne; two godsisters Tonya and Lisa and one godbrother Shawn and a host of cousins, extended family and friends.
