Five year old Daniel has autism and absolutely loves garbage trucks. Watching the weekly garbage pickup has become a comforting ritual for him.

“He loves the predictable movement of the hoist and is excited by the entire spectacle. He waits all week for Monday morning pickup,” reports his mother Robin.

Manuel is his favorite garbage man, and recently gave Daniel a special gift after his usual pickup: a brand new toy garbage truck.

Robin happened to be recording the pickup that day and caught the heartwarming exchange on camera.
