Marchesa designers Keren Craig and Georgina Chapman showed a colorful Fall 2014 collection inspired by bonfires of their native Great Britain. Presented at an off-site venue of Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week (MBFW) in New York, the design duo known for their luxurious gowns adored by A-list celebrities showcased a collection that took its cues from the Scottish Highlands. The Scottish reference continued in the form of deconstructed kilt dresses in silk chiffon and accessories - embellished clutches that were a riff on the sporran, a pouch that performs the same function as a pocket on the pocket-less kilts. Cocktail dresses in tartan lace and hand draped silk -- signature Marchesa looks -- were embellished with ostrich feather fringes and tulle wraps.
