Cameron sees damage of UK flooding first hand

Floodwaters throughout the United Kingdom are continuing to rise.

Parts of the U.K. are dealing with the wettest January on record.

Along the River Thames, water has engulfed some of Britain's most expensive real estate.

British Prime Minister David Cameron visited Dawlish, where high tides and stormy seas last week washed away a stretch of railway track.

SOUNDBITE) (English) BRITISH PRIME MINISTER DAVID CAMERON SAYING:

"Well, it is a huge challenge, I mean we have had the wettest start to the year for 250 years, and some of the most extreme weather we have seen in our country for decades, and you can see behind me just the effect that it has had."

Some residents have gotten angry about the government's response to the crisis.

Cameron said the government is doing everything it can to get things back to normal.
