Anti-government protesters boycott Thai polls

Some anti-government protesters who want a new government refused to vote in Sunday's election, citing corruption and the ruling Puea Thai Party's practice of vote-buying as the main reasons.

Parties involved with Thailand's former Prime Minister Thaksin Shinawatra have won every election since 2001.

Protesters have been attempting to force Yingluck Shinawatra out of power for the past three months.
