Flooding, winter storms wreak havoc across Europe

Wild weather strikes Italy and the UK as heavy rains continue to wreak havoc on parts of Europe.

A torrential downpour in Rome caused rivers to burst their banks -- challenging drivers as they attempt to move through water up to their windshield.

Homes in Pisa and Florence were left stranded and water covered farmers' fields.

And over 1,000 people in the area have been caught up in the flooding.

In a bizare example of the extreme weather....A barn in northern Italy was practically destroyed when an estimated four thousand cubic meters of rock came loose from a cliff.

In south-west England, workers are positioning sandbags strategically, with more severe weather expected. Something business owner Jim Winkworth is dreading:
