"I was making breakfast and all of a sudden… I thought it was a dog because I saw its legs first, but it was a puma. A puma, a puma like those you see in the zoo."
Officials say the animal seemed domesticated and could have been someone's pet.
The mountain lion never attacked the residents, and left the family's dog alone.
After it was sedated, the puma was taken to the National Zoo where and treated for minor injuries.
