Kiev protesters shun state hospitals for volunteer clinics

Volunteers are on hand sorting through what is needed.
With clashes turning increasingly violent doctors are treating more serious injuries. Protesters are turning to hospitals like this out of fear.
(SOUNDBITE) (Russian) VOLUNTEER DOCTOR, LEV, SAYING:
"People come with all sorts of different pathologies. It can be a wound, poisoning or heart attack. We have different doctors here who help as much as they can on the spot. People are coming here, because they are afraid to go into state and private medical institutions."
Makeshift treatment centers are also springing up in protests camps.
One former emergency physician from Kiev told Reuters that hospitals are required to report any injuries that are caused by suspicious violence. Now protesters prefer to get treatment without fear.
