Day 106: Olympic Torch Relay at Novocherkassk City, in the Rostov Region. The city was founded as the capital of Don Cossacks and retained this unofficial status up to the present day. In Soviet times the town was re-structured and oriented towards industrial production, in particular – electric locomotives. Now once again the city starts to position itself as the capital of the Russian and even world Cossack community.
