Just as awards season has begun to honor the year's best films, the Razzies have released their contenders for the worst films and performances. Topping that list is "Grown Ups 2" - which garnered eight nominations, including worst picture and worst actor for lead Adam Sandler.

Coming in at number two was Will Smith's "After Earth," which earned six nods. It tied with Tyler Perry's comedy "A Madea Christmas," which also earned six nominations for the Golden Raspberry statuette.

Earning five nods was box office underperformer "The Lone Ranger," which also got a Razzie nod for Johnny Depp.

Other notables getting a mention were Ashton Kutcher for the Steve Jobs biopic "Jobs" and Sylvester Stallone, who was nominated for three films: "Bullet to the Head," "Escape Plan" and "Grudge Match."

The winners - or rather losers - of the infamous awards will be announced on March 1 - the night before the Oscars.
