Gebo lives in a humble house with his wife and daughter in law, who takes care of them as if they were her own parents. Gebo’s only son, Joao, has been gone for a long while to the mother’s despair and to Gebo’s discomptempt, as he suspects him to devote himself to not so commendable activities. Suddenly, one night, Joao shows up. The mother believes his return is for good, but Gebo has no illusions regarding this unexpected reappearance. Was it on purpose that Gebo decides not to hide the colossal amount of money he’s been keeping for the compagny he works for and which Joao shamelessly steals from him?
