Classic Game Room presents a CGR Undertow review of Mario & Sonic at the Sochi 2014 Olympic Winter Games for the Nintendo Wii U developed by SEGA and published by Nintendo.
Old rivals come together in the spirit of international competition! Mario and Sonic set an example for the entire world in Mario & Sonic at the Sochi 2014 Olympic Winter Games, the latest Olympics party game from SEGA and Nintendo. Mario & Sonic 2014 features 20 characters from the Mario and Sonic series, as well as any Mii on your Wii U! Take them head-to-head in 16 Olympics events, from old favorites like curling and skiing to new additions like figure skating pairs. The game also includes eight dream events, which are arcade-inspired versions of popular Olympic sports. So you can play regular hockey…or you can play hockey on a beach with turtle shells and banana peels. Either way! The game includes a story mode and freeplay for the individual minigames, as well as a new Action & Answer mode. The game shines brightest during multiplayer, and it even includes some online modes, a first for the series. Mario & Sonic 2014 is a single and multiplayer game released exclusively for the Wii U.
