Fresh start to Salman’s 2002 Hit and Run case

Since a decade Salman Khan’s 2002 hit and run case trial is going on but no decision is yet been taken. Now the current addition to the trial is that a Mumbai court on 5th Dec ordered fresh trial which takes this case almost back where it started 11 years ago…
Salman had asked for a fresh trial after the charge against him was enhanced from "rash and negligent driving" to "culpable homicide not amounting to murder", which carries a maximum sentence of 10 years in jail. The court said all evidence and witnesses will be re-examined and the trial is likely to begin on December 23.
