Egypt bids farewell to people's poet Negm

Ahmed Fouad Negm, the Egyptian poet renowned for his sharp tongue and sarcasm, died early on Tuesday in Cairo at the age of 84 after a long battle with illness, state-run newspaper Al-Ahram reported. His funeral ceremony took place at medieval Cairo's historic mosque of Imam Al-Hussien, after noon prayers. Al Jazeera's Rula Amin reports from Cairo.
