The founder and leader of MQM Mr. Altaf Hussain has said that Hakeem-ul-Ummat, poet of the East Allama Iqabl was free from sectarian bias, and racial and ethnic prejudices. He used to respect all religions and beliefs. He has expressed his views on this in his universal poetry in a number of places.
On the 136th birth anniversary of Allama Iqbal, he said, “ Allama Iqbal was not only a poet but he was an imminent lawyer, politician and Sufi too. Everyone admires and appreciates his teaching and social services.
