The story is about an orphan eastern girl (Rani) raised in a village by her grandmother, who is engaged to her westernized first cousin (Shahid). Shahid agrees to marry her after his broke parents persuade him to marry her for money, because their mother (Sabiha) wants them to for she has all the money. He doesn't liek his fiance and goes out with his first cousin Aliyah who is westernized too. Rani insists to go with them and her grandmother (Sabiha) tells shahid to take her to the night-club as well.
Shahid and Aliyah are dancing as usual in western style, Rani interupts them and starts to sing and dance. Istead of singing and dancing in western style, she sings and dances in eastern way; which causes Shahid and Aliyah a lot of embarrassment because they are ashamed of their culture. Rani sings and dances because the feels jealous and left out seeing her beloved fiance dancing with another and in her singing she tell Aliyah that he's my husband-to-be and not try to trap him. And is telling her fiance Shahid to accept her and love her instead of Aliyah. See, now the video is more interesting ;)

(This film was released at the time of India/Pakistan war in 1971 and Bangladesh was separated from us while the movie was at the cinema houses after the partition, note the Bangla title at the beginning)
