STORY: Orlando Bloom and Richard Armitage held up the New York leg of the worldwide fan event for "The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug" on Monday (November 4).
At the same time, fan experiences were happening simultaneously in Los Angeles and London with various actors from the film, while director Peter Jackson appeared live from New Zealand.
After the hour long broadcast, Bloom said the event was like a big fan appreciation night.
In the film, Bloom reprises his role from "The Lord of The Rings" franchise.
"Legolas, you know, my favorite, if not, you know, one of my favorites if not my favorite character in movies. He is just a beautiful character to play. And so the fact that Pete thought that we could find a way for him to be a part of the world is amazing," said Bloom.
