Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) Quaid Altaf Hussain, expressing his grief and sorrow over the death of renowned singer of the sub-continent Reshman, termed it a great national loss.
Altaf Hussain said that the folk singer held a unique status in the world of music for her distinctive melodious voice of the desert that made her popular throughout the world. He further said that her death has saddened her fans all across the world and has left a vacuum in the world of music that would be difficult to fill.
Altaf Hussain demanded from the government to posthumously award the pride of performance to Reshma for the national service she rendered for the country and provide financial help to her family.
MQM chief also expressed his heartfelt condolence and sympathy to the family of the singer and prayed to Allah to provide eternal peace to the departed soul and grant patience to the family to bear the loss.
