Few signs of hope on the horizon in Syria

Rebels launch a strike on a house in Idlib they say belongs to loyalists of Syrian President Bashar al-Assad.

Smoke fills the streets in the aftermath.

In other parts of the country its the government launching the attacks -- as video which can not be independently verified by Reuters appears to show a strike in Hama.

While world powers struggle to set up peace talks -- there is no relief on the ground.

The 2-1/2-year-old war has killed more than 100,000 people. Millions have been forced from their homes -- many finding shelter in refugee camps in neighboring countries.

The wait continues for an end to a conflict that began with peaceful protests but there is little hope on the horizon.
