Born and raised in Burbank, California, Nelson is a multi-talented singersongwriter currently based in Tokyo, Japan. In addition to his music career, he works as a TV and radio personality, actor, translator, narrator, social media specialist, YouTube media creator, etc. In other words, he does a little bit of everything.

He mastered the Japanese language after majoring in East Asian languages at UC Berkeley, during which he spent a year studying abroad at Tokyo's prestigious Keio University. He now lives in Tokyo, where he's hoping to help bring change to the outdated Japanese music and TV industry. He also works closely with major Japanese artists, including Naoto Inti Raymi, SEKAI NO OWARI, and THE BAWDIES, providing English supervision and insight on western music trends.

1985年米国カリフォルニア州バーバンク市生まれ｡UC Berkeley校（カリフォルニア大バークレー校）東アジア言語・日本語学科卒｡在学中に慶応義塾大学に一年間留学｡2007年10月に再来日し､音楽､芸能活動を始める｡今では音楽以外に、俳優業、通訳・翻訳、テレビ・ラジオ出演、クリエイターなど､さまざまな活動をしている｡まぁ、要するに何でもやっちゃいます。

YouTubeで100曲以上の日本の名曲のカバーを披露し高い支持を得ていて、現在はシンガーソングライターとしてソロ活動やりながら、バンドnothing ever lastsのボーカルも務めている。本人が日本語で作詞･作曲をしているという日本語流暢なアメリカ人｡

今は東京に住んでいて、考え方の古い日本のテレビや音楽業界に衝撃を与えようとしている。そしてナオト・インティライミ、SEKAI NO OWARI、THE BAWDIESなど、日本の数々のメジャーミュージシャンと協力しながら、歌詞の英訳、英語監修などもしている。
