"A diligent line between Bowie-tinged 1970s pop and REM style college rock" - Irish band Caruso was formed around Shane Ó Fearghail's "powerful songwriting" and debut album 'The Watcher And The Comet'. Produced by Herbie Macken (Neil Finn, Crowded House, Gavin Friday), 'The Watchers' release saw Caruso propelled into the European underground playing small festivals and low lit clubs around the continent. This in turn led to publishing in Germany, Austria and Switzerland. "The Watcher & The Comet sounds like a forgotten classic" as described by Eamoan De Paor of the 'Metro' Dublin!
In 2013 Shane signed a distribution and licensing deal with Spectra Records in United States and Canada for the new album 'Everything You Need Is Here' (Release date 3rd Sept 2013). The two bonus tracks 'All Your Features' and 'Round The Hardway' have already been placed in two US movies, 'Emerging Past' and 'Exposure', with both songs having also been included on the movie's soundtrack albums!
'Everything You Need Is Here' is a much more up tempo affair! With stronger songs and bigger performances, the new album builds on where the critically acclaimed 'Watcher' left off! Written to be played live...the new songs are a unique prospect! Likened to REM, Caruso have gone from strength to strength, incorporating a colorful mixture of Alternative Folk and Indie Rock'n'roll.
