Katy Perry reveals the one song on "Prism" album about Russell Brand is "By The Grace of God". Katycats and music lovers you're home, welcome back to ClevveMusic. As you probably know Katy Perry's "Prism" album is out today October 22nd and we've got new details on one of the emotional new songs. Katy revealed to Entertainment Weekly the track called "By The Grace Of God" is the one blunt song about her 2012 divorce from comedian Russell Brand, "The lyrics are very exact and autobiographical." Katy went on to explain the lyrics in the song go on to find inner strength, the battle between the good angel and the bad devil. Katy went deeper into the issue when she told the UK's Sunday Times just exactly how bad of shape she was in after her public divorce: "I was in bed for about two weeks... I'd lost hope, all of my confidence had been shattered." So what do these autobiographical lyrics say? In the "By The Grace of God" bridge Katy sings, "Thought I wasn't enough/ Found I wasn't so tough/ Laying on the bathroom floor/ We were living on a phone line/ and I felt the fault was all mine". Very personal lyrics for Katy, who doesn't always make every song about as autobiographical. We're happy to see Katy sharing this with fans and that she has bounced back from that hard time miraculously. Give another listen to "By The Grace of God" now knowing these details and tell us if the song is therapeutic or too personal?
