Surfing helps children with autism overcome life's hurdles

Cadiz (Spain), 2 Aug (EFE), (Camera: Isabel Laguna).- A surf school in has pioneered a therapy for children with autism, Down syndrome, brain paralysis and neurological disorders. Each year, teachers see how surfing aids their students' physical, mental and social development. The idea began six years ago when Jesus Borrego and Ana Gonzalo decided to combine their work, water therapy programs in swimming pools, with their favourite sport, surfing, on Cadiz's beaches.
