Guns N' Roses - Live and Let Die

"Live and Let Die", from the James Bond film and soundtrack Live and Let Die, is one of Sir Paul McCartney's most successful singles. Written with his wife Linda McCartney, it reunited the former Beatle with producer George Martin. Although the most famous version of the song remains George Martin's recording of the McCartneys' Wings, it was later covered by Guns N' Roses and, due to its status as a Bond theme song, by The Pretenders (the latter released exclusively on the album Shaken and Stirred: The David Arnold James Bond Project). The song has a unique musical structure for a piece of pop music.

"Live and Let Die" was the first James Bond theme song to be nominated for an Academy Award for Best Original Song, losing out to the theme song from "The Way We Were."
