After positive reactions from early screenings, Spike Jonze's "Her" had its world premiere at the New York Film Festival.

The film stars Joaquin Phoenix as a lonely man who falls in love with a female voice from an innovative operating system.

Co-star Amy Adams said his dedication to the film was contagious.

SOUNDBITE: Amy Adams, "Her" co-star, saying (English):

"I feel like Joaquin just really bares his soul in this film and it feels like such a personal story for Spike. And I feel like that bled over to all of the actors. That we all really took to heart at how personal of a story this was."

"Her" will hit limited North American theaters on December 18th, and will have a wider release next year.
