The Ganges also called Ganga is one of the most sacred rivers in India. Now a film on Ganga is about to be telecasted on Discovery Channel. The Discovery Channel website mentions “The film will begin under the mighty ‘Shivling’ and ‘Bhagirathi’ peaks in the Garhwal Himalaya from whose glaciers emerge the river that will be later called the Ganga.
