Shakira, Pique celebrate the birth their son, Milan, in Barcelona

Barcelona, Jan (EFE).- Colombian singer Shakira gave birth to her first child - Milan Pique Mebarak - in a Barcelona hospital on Tuesday, her family confirmed in a communique. They said the pop star gave birth at 9:36 p.m. local time to a boy weighing almost 3 kilograms (6.6 pounds) and both the mother and child are "in perfect health." Shakira checked into the private Teknon clinic at 6:30 p.m. accompanied by the baby's father, Barcelona footballer Gerard Pique.
