Most of the Indian women favorite attire is saree. Gujarat clothing is a unique collection of hand woven, hand printed and traditional embroidery designs. And it is one of ethnic handloom cluster of India. Pure silk, cotton, georgette, crape, dyes and natural zari are some of the raw materials used in Gujarat sarees. Mostly fabrics were dyed in natural colors extracted from trees and flowers. Tie – dye bandhini, ajrakh resist printing and block printing methods are exclusively developed on Gujarat designer sarees. Gujarat weaves are famous of its tie and dye gharchola panetar sarees and rajkot patola ikkat weave. Jamnagar, mandvi and bhuj are the well known places of bandhini saris and patan for patolas. Surat’s rich zari form beautiful brocade patterns on Gujarati fashion sarees.
