Breaking Bad house NOT for sale

Fans of 'Breaking Bad' are probably a little sad as the excitement around the hit television series winds down following broadcast of the final episode. Those who live in Albuquerque, New Mexico are probably especially bummed out, as many have capitalized on the show by selling Breaking Bad themed products, such as figurines and candy made to look like blue meth. But there are probably at least two people who are relieved that the show has finally come to an end, Fran and Louie Padilla.

The Padillas are the people who actually live in the house that is used as the set for Walter White's home in the AMC production. According to the couple, who have been living there since 1973, thousands of people have come by to see their home, especially in the months leading up to the finale.

However, despite the undoubtedly high payout they could fetch - about $200,000 - if they choose to sell their home, the Padillas have no plans to put their house up for sale. They say the memories they have made with their family inside that house are priceless, and that no amount of money could persuade them to leave.

Actually, although the exterior of the Padilla's home is used in the show, the interior is actually filmed on a sound stage. And according to Fran, the inside of her house is much better looking than the White's, which she says is "hideous."

When AMC chose her home to be included in the show, Fran said it was like "winning the lottery." She did not divulge how much she was paid to allow her home to be used in the series, but said, "It didn't make us rich, but it was nice. Extra money is always."
