Moviegoers eat up 3D movie "Cloudy With a Chance of Meatballs 2"

Moviegoers ate up hefty portions of "Cloudy With a Chance of Meatballs 2" over the weekend. The animated 3D comedy took the top spot at U.S. and Canadian box offices with $35 million in ticket sales.
The sequel to the surprise 2009 hit includes monster-sized fruits, vegetables, and cheeseburgers known as "foodimals," and features the voices Bill Hader and Anna Faris.
Last weekend's box office title holder "Prisoners" -- a thriller-drama starring Hugh Jackman -- brought in $11.3 million over the weekend.
And "Rush," a re-telling of 1970s Formula 1 rivals, zoomed in third, with $10.3 million in ticket sales, according to studio estimates.
